RFC 7396 merge-patch over application/merge-patch+json. Send only the fields you want to change; include a field with value null to remove it. Use the If-Match header for optimistic concurrency control. Evento has no OPTLOCK column, so If-Match is accepted for API symmetry but ignored by the command gateway.

Validation error ÔÇö the request body or a query parameter failed constraint validation. The response payload includes a errors array with field-level details. Also returned for malformed merge-patch payloads.
